Passing their guard (option #1)

  • when their guard breaks, scoop both their legs with your arms, lock your arms
  • pull them up so their weight is on their upper back
  • grab across their gi with your right hand
  • push all your weight down on their legs while twisting them counter clockwise
  • Push their left leg with a shoulder shrug
  • their legs should slide to your left and you should slide right into side control.
